I first met Magda (model) when we worked together on the Marc Jacobs Resort 2013 show, where I directed the makeup as Lead Artist. Then I had the pleasure of working with her again when creating the lookbook for that same collection. Magda hails from Argentina, which always makes spending time with her a special treat, since I get to bond with her over our Latin roots and chat up a storm in Spanish.

Luckily enough, we had another opportunity to collaborate recently on this cover and cover story for Oyster Magazine. The day could not have been more perfectly set for some quality girl time. A bunch of ladies, laughing, sharing, and enjoying one another's company while lounging together on sofas set within a beautiful, wide open apartment space.

The day almost paralleled the cover story which evoked femininity and poetry while promoting peace and just a hint of quirkiness. The shoot took place in a loft space near the West Side Highway in New York City. The stylist Sasha has a signature style that stands out for exuding luxury, quirky, and feminine, not to mention that she is also a lovely person and a joy to work with.

All in all, it was a beautiful day and photographs reflect just that.
